Verdict: See It!
David's Review
Producer's Take: For Deep Emotional Impact, I give Deep Impact the upper hand. But for sheer, silly summer popcorn fun, Director Michael Bay goes WAY over the top (what a surprise!) in Armageddonwith this loud, bombastic version of the world's end with a stellar cast led by Bruce Willis.

FINAL VERDICT: ITS A HOME THEATER DOUBLE-HEADER!

Leah's Review
Armageddon is better for three reasons. First, it's got an all-star cast led by the always reliable Bruce Willis. Next, its directed by Michael Bay and this genre is what he does best. And finally, speaking of Michael Bay, this movie is bombastic and over-the-top - which is exactly what I love and would expect from a summer popcorn movie!

FINAL VERDICT: ARMAGEDDON RULES!

Brenna's Review
Deep Impact is totally better because It's more realistic, it has a stronger plot, and it has Morgan Freeman as the president. Next, there are actual ramifications when the asteroid splits in half, and one half hits the earth. As a result, it has a more realistic than the super happy ending of Armageddon. The movie not focuses on trying to stop the meteor, but also examines what happens on a deeper level to humanity and has a point, addressing issues of who would get to live in the event of an extinction level event.

FINAL VERDICT: DEEP IMPACT GOES DEEP!
