Verdict: See It!
Salim's Review
What more can be said about old web head? We loved him in the first two Spiderman movies, and though this reboot seems like an opportunity to capitalize on the gritty realism of The Dark Knight, I think director Marc Webb has many tricks up his sleeve, and will deliver a unique and enjoyable Spidey experience.

FINAL VERDICT: A HOPEFUL SEE IT!

Greg's Review
The Amazing Spider-Man should probably be called The Very Serious Spider-Man from the look of the trailers. Tonally, Marc Webb is going a completely different direction than Sam Raimi. However, I loved the comic surrealism he brought to (500) Days of Summer, so perhaps this is just a case of the marketing time selling it strangely.

FINLA VERDICT: WAIT AND SEE IT!

Aaron's Review
The Amazing Spiderman is a reboot of the well-known and extremely popular Spiderman comic book series, which has been adapted in many different way since it's inception in the 60's. My favorite incarnation was a cartoon series that aired in the early 90's. It had great voice casting, tons of cool villains, and most importantly Mark Hamill voiced a bad guy!
In terms of major motion pictures, director Sam Raimi has realeased 3 films to date, all of which were incredibly successful in terms of box office draw. Critics had some things to say about Spiderman 3 in particular, but they were generally well received by most. Which raises the question: should this franchise be remade so soon?
Clearly, the answer has become a version of "yes." The intention of director Marc Webb and producer Avi Arad, to me at least, is to make a dark and gritty film that rivals Christopher Nolan's Batman films in the hopes of revitalizing this fun and exciting superhero story. I'm definitely not sure how the movie will turn out, but with a pretty solid cast, and a couple of impressive looking trailers, only time will tell.
The Amazing Spiderman has me perplexed! I can't tell based off of what I know if it will be good or not, so I guess I'll say we should all go find out!

FINAL VERDICT: A CAUTIOUS SEE IT!
