I loved Siskel and Ebert in At The Movies. They were smart, contentious but most of all, passionate about movies. After they left the air, my friends and I at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts realized that there was nothing like them anymore. All the movie review shows were either uninformative, trying to be cute, or worst of all, fawning. So we figured we would combine the best of our education and produced a movie review show that honors Gene and Roger - smart, funny, contentious, and yes, passionate.
|Watch Our Tribute to
SISKEL AND EBERT
- Respectful: we are respectful of every filmmaker and artist's contributions and work, even if we may not agree with it or recommend it to our viewers.
- Dedicated: we are dedicated to providing objective, well-informed critiques of current film, television and other forms of entertainment.
- Honest: our opinions are our own, not the result of a marketing campaign; we are not being paid to recommend films.
- Uncompromising: popularity and box office do not sway our opinions of a film, and neither do the fame or celebrity status of its stars or director; we call it like we see it.
